The Cougar Gold Cheese produced by the Washington State University Creamery is truly a gem. I couldn't help but being suspicious about a "canned" cheese until the moment I tasted it. As a sharp white cheddar, the Cougar Gold differentiates itself from the rest of its kind with a buttery nutty flavor and a slightly crumbly yet creamy and dense texture. Overall, a delicious tasting cheese it is! (Plus, what a ingenious idea to package cheese in a can for long term storage!)
